The young left arm fast-medium pace bowler has been on the Pakistani side since quite a time now, he was even in Pakistan’s World Cup squad and played a warm up match.
But he hasn’t bowled a match winning spell, he was impressive against Zimbabwe but the spotlight was stolen by “Aizaz Cheema”, today in Pakistan’s first test match against at Shaikh Zaid Stadium, Junaid Khan was chosen over the highly experience wahab riaz, and this was a great opportunity for Junaid to prove himself.
At the start of the match Sri Lankan openers had an extremly slow start, which later on caused alot of pressure for the other players, but after the openers and Kumar Sangakarra were sent back to the pavilion, Junaid Khan came in and destroyed the middle order including wickets of Parsana Jaywerdena and Rangana Herath, after that junaid khan also took the final two wickets and completed his maiden 5 wicket haul!! 😀
